Yes most 1.1-1.3b hdmi cables work just fine... up to a point (under 15ft) but with ever changing tech."1.4" is already out (May 2009). These cables best all but 1 other moster hdmi cable (Monster Cable M1000 Series )which is thier highest priced hdmi cable 0 plus for the same length.[...] no cable is going to give you overwhelming improvement but if you can tweek your system alittle why not.I started from my sat.dish to the newest hd sat.receiver with a higher grade rg-6,try using rg-59 if ya think there is no differance in cables(rg-6 is over twice the size cooper cable than rg-59 ie to carry more bandwith)fed into a Yamaha RX-V1900BL (which i got a great price from Electronics Expo here on Amazon)for the main reason of having a Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.04% most are 0.07-0.08 which again is not a huge differance and with a few other cable upgrades i squeaked out a 10% improvement.I wouldn't recommend spending 0 - 0 a Foot or meter for any cable and there are more than a few that charge that much (unreal but true )but i feel if your going to spend 00s on a hdTV,receiver,speakers why not spend a few 0 on better cables for your Home Audio & Home Theater System.The other great thing is Moster will upgrade this cable if it ever becomes out dated... how long did the VCR and so may other things come and go.
